In a year where ‘duck and cover’ seemed to become the norm, where stress, uncertainty, and fear became more frequently experienced than laughter, there’s reason to celebrate – and not just because the year is f***** over.
2020 has been difficult for everyone, but at Black Sheep we’re enormously proud. Thanks to our clients and staff, we managed to get through the year without reducing any staff hours, without making any roles redundant, without losing any clients and without losing our minds.
In contrast, we’ve welcomed new clients, created some great work, shared some new experiences and developed our skills. We celebrated the ‘retirement’ of former Managing Director, John McLaren and then celebrated him being awarded the coveted Adelaide Advertising and Design Club’s President’s Award aka The Watering Can. While we said goodbye to John (despite him coming back one day a week consulting), we also welcomed new members to the flock – Danilo and Elyse joined us on a permanent basis in 2020, while Tess brought her little girl Emily into the world in April and Tom’s puppy Cooper joined the flock in October.
But there’s a heap of other things that happened this year that are worth celebrating too:
What’s for sure, this is the longest year we’ve ever experienced – while also being the shortest too.
We honestly want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for a year that will be remembered for a million different reasons – and we promise to be back crazier than ever and more committed to creating some great work for you all in 2021.
We wish you a safe, happy and relaxing break. We all deserve it!
Andrew, Tom and the Flock.
*I said ‘finally’, you potty-mouthed freaks!
